Horsham, Pa. – 28 August 2015 The City of Weslaco, Texas, awarded Severn Trent Services – North America a five-year contract worth $12.5 million for the operation and maintenance of its water and wastewater plants.
The five-year contract (with a two-year extension option) includes two wastewater treatment facilities with a total treatment capacity of 8 million gallons per day and one water treatment plant with a total of 18 million gallons per day, as well as 51 lift stations. CH2M Hill operated the assets until 2013 and the City of Weslaco currently operates. Severn Trent Services takes over operations on October 1.
