Success For Severn Trent Services At IFAT 2008 |

Severn Trent Services’ latest technological innovations generate significant interest from visitors to 15th annual trade fair for water, sewage, refuse and recycling
Severn Trent Services have confirmed that their show debut at the IFAT (International Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Refuse and Recycling) exhibition in Munich in May was a success, with the company achieving a significant number of quality sales leads for their latest technological innovations in water treatment.
Fran House, Severn Trent Services’ European Marketing Manager said: “IFAT provided the ideal European platform for the company to launch a range of new water treatment products and showcase our world-renowned wastewater and cleanwater technologies to a new audience. Europe continues to be a very important market for Severn Trent Services, and IFAT gave us the opportunity to catch up with existing customers and meet potential new customers.”
Severn Trent Services launched a number of new products at the show, and there was a high level of interest for the company’s new MicroDynamics® microwave UV disinfection solution. The electrodeless design has a three-year lamp life guarantee. In addition, there is no detrimental effect to the lamp caused by it being switched on and off – a feature not possible with systems containing electrodes.
Visitors also used the show as an opportunity to learn more about Severn Trent’s ClorTec® on-site sodium hypochlorite generating system, which, since 1988, has been installed in more than 3,500 projects worldwide. The company also received much acclaim for their new ClorTec® SCT mini on-site sodium hypochlorite generating system, which was officially unveiled at IFAT. The compact, innovative new product offers a cost-effective and safe alternative to the transportation of hazardous chemicals for swimming pools, cooling towers and food and drink applications.
Severn Trent Services technical consultants were also kept busy on the stand providing information on TETRA® tertiary wastewater and cleanwater filtration solutions, including TETRA® DeepBed™ filters; TETRA® LP Block™, a dual-parallel lateral underdrain filter floor for RGF and GAC filters; and TETRA® NSAF.
House added: “We will definitely exhibit at IFAT again, as it provides the company the opportunity to showcase our new technologies to a global audience.”
