Making Drinking Water Safe Where Arsenic is Abundant

Arsenic is found in abundance in the state of Michigan. In fact, the state is one of only seven throughout the United States that hosted three or more demonstration sites during the EPA’s National Arsenic Treatment Demonstration Project, Phase 2.

Public-Private Partnership Yields Immediate $1/2 Million in Savings

A public-private partnership to manage the water and wastewater treatment services of the Borough of Boyertown, Pennsylvania, resulted in an immediate savings of $500,000 – and an additional annual savings of $60,000.

Testing Verifies Performance of On-site Hypochlorite Generating System

United Water Pennsylvania, a water utility serving more than 150,000 people in eight counties in the Keystone state, installed an on-site hypochlorite generating system to replace chlorine gas cylinders at its Hummelstown Water Treatment Plant just east of Harrisburg. As part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental Technology Verification program, the EPA and NSF International verified the performance of the system at installation.
