Receiving the Loren F. Oeming Award for outstanding operation of an industrial facility was Dale Hill, project manager at a Coca Cola bottling plant in Paw Paw, Michigan. Jerry Seay, project manager at a wastewater treatment facility in Kalkaska, Michigan, received the Donald M. Pierce Award for outstanding municipal plant operation. Both Hill and Seay are employees of Severn Trent Services. Both were responsible for the startup of separate treatment facilities and continue to oversee project management at their respective plants.

Established in 1925, the Michigan Water Environment Association represents more than 1,700 water quality professionals statewide and distributes awards annually for excellence in careers involving the water environment. The association is a member association of the Water Environment Federation (WEF), the international not-for-profit technical and educational organization whose 100,000 members work toward the WEF vision of preservation and enhancement of the global water environment.

“Dale and Jerry have both produced outstanding results at their facilities, and being recognized for excellent work is a great achievement,” said Dana Kaas, Severn Trent Services vice president for Contract Operations. “Hundreds of cities and industrial clients rely on Severn Trent Services to protect their water and wastewater treatment investments and ensure regulatory compliance. Our professional operations personnel help improve process control while reducing administrative and operational costs.”
