Winner of the UK's 2004 Queens Award for Innovation and ETV-verified, the Eclox® water test kit is a rapid and portable field water quality assessment system for use in detecting intentional or accidental contamination of water for civilian or military applications.
In December 2003, Eclox® was verified by the Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program, an EPA program that develops testing protocols and verifies the performance of innovative technologies with the potential to improve protection of human health and the environment. ETV was created to accelerate the entrance of new environmental technologies like Eclox into the domestic and international marketplace.
Recently, ETV began verification of monitoring and treatment technologies relevant for homeland security, including technologies used for detecting potable water contamination.
One of only eight technologies chosen for evaluation under the ETV program, the Eclox® Rapid Response Water Test Kit not only successfully met manufacture performance claims, but was recognized as easy to transport and use, even by an operator with little technical training.
