Severn Trent Services has been a leader in continuous chlorine residual analysis for over twenty years. Using proven amperometric technology, Severn Trent Services has a complete offering of chlorine analyzers, which provide accurate residual analysis for a wide range of monitoring and control applications.
The effective but simple design at the heart of each instrument is a central gold and outer copper electrode assembly, which is used sometimes in conjunction with another electrode, to determine chlorine residual levels in sample water. The electrode surfaces are kept constantly clean by a rotating striker assembly that drives PVC balls around the cell, 'washing machine' style.
Our new line of residual analyzers are designed to continuously monitor free or total chlorine or other oxidants in drinking water, wastewater, cooling water and other process water applications. The units are microprocessor-based and feature a large, dot matrix graphic display, on-screen instruction and automatic ranging. The Series CL500 Residual Analyzer has a resolution up to 0.001 mg/l. The Series CL1000 Residual Analyzer has a unique 3-electrode measuring cell arrangement that enables it to measure in the parts per billion (ppb) residual range, as well as high residual ranges to 60 mg/l.
The Series 1870E Chlorine Analyzer has been purchased more often than any other analyzer. But don’t ask us - ask the thousands and thousands of our satisfied customers! The 1870E is stable and accurate. The simple design makes it a rewarding and inexpensive choice.
The Series 1770 Chlorine Analyzer works on the same principle as the 1870E but is designed for use with clean, stable pH waters. Its simplicity and target application reduce the need for a buffer reagent making it even more cost efficient, both to buy and to own.
The MicroChem2 Analyzer is a 3-channel system that utilizes a dual electrode flow-through cell to measure Free and Total Chlorine, Chlorine Dioxide and Ozone. A small amount of Corundum sand is placed in the measuring cell to keep the electrodes clean and maintain stability. The MicroChem2 is available with PID control algorithms combining residual measurement and control in one device. |
