Ultraviolet Disinfection Systems

Ultraviolet disinfection (UV) has been known for over 100 years as an effective method for inactivating waterborne pathogens and viruses. As an alternative or supplement to traditional chemical disinfectants, an ultraviolet disinfection system offers a number of operating advantages. UV disinfection systems are safe and easy to operate. In addition, the use of UV does not inject any taste or odor into the processed water, nor does it produce any undesirable by-products. UV disinfection systems feature a small footprint that is readily adaptable to fit into an existing treatment facility.

Severn Trent Services offers the UltraDynamics® ultraviolet disinfection system for use in pharmaceutical applications.

Heavy Industrial
The UltraDynamics 8102-HIE and 8102-HO heavy industrial ultraviolet disinfection series are designed and manufactured to treat flow rate capacities ranging from 2 gallons per minute to 3,200 gallons per minute. Units are constructed in 304 or 316 stainless steel, electropolished and passivated; and come with a variety of optional features.

Special UV System
The UltraDynamics 8103-S commercial/light industrial purifier series offers an economic and practical means of using ultraviolet disinfection for potable water or high purity water. The series can accommodate flow rate capacities of 2.0 gallons per minute for clear fresh water and 3.0 gallons per minute for high purity water.

The UltraDynamics line of ultraviolet disinfection products was acquired from Glasco Ultraviolet Systems, Inc. of Hackensack, NJ, in 1998.
