Severn Trent De Nora to Showcase Water Wastewater Treatment Technologies at Offshore Technology Conference

Featured products include OMNIPURE™ sewage treatment systems, SANILEC® bio fouling control systems and UAT™ water filtration systems.

Severn Trent De Nora, a leading provider of electrolytic seawater disinfection systems, will showcase its line of water and wastewater treatment systems at the Offshore Technology Conference to be held May 2-5, 2011, at Reliant Park in Houston, Texas.

The following products will be featured during the conference:

• The OMNIPURE™ Series 55 marine sewage treatment system utilizes a unique electrolytic treatment process combined with electrocoagulation to provide safe and effective treatment of black and gray water. The certified treatment process provides wastewater effluent quality well below MEPC.159(55) requirements while eliminating the need to handle waste solids from raw, untreated influent. Along with a unique solids management system that removes concentrated solids automatically, in situ, the light-weight systems feature a small footprint and are easy to install and maintain. With an individual unit capacity ranging up to 17,280 gal/day (65 m3/day), OMNIPURE 55 systems can be combined for increased capacity. The systems have Bureau Veritas certification and USCG certification to IMO Resolution MEPC.159(55). A scale model of the OMNIPURE Series 55 will be at the booth for technology demonstrations.
• The SANILEC® electrochlorination system generates hypochlorite from seawater and has demonstrated reliable, economic and low-maintenance operation in installations throughout the world. When injected into the cooling water circuits, the on-site-generated sodium hypochlorite solution provides efficient biofouling control protection to the equipment. SANILEC systems range in capacity from 0.11 to 100 lb/hr (.05 to 45.4 kg/hr), per train.
• The UAT™ seawater desalination membrane filtration systems effectively produce fresh treated water, free of particulate matter or contaminants, from a seawater source. Systems range in output capacities from 2,000 to 26,000 gpd (7,570 to 98,410 lpd) and are available in standard and custom-made specifications to meet the requirements of a classified area.

According to Frank Martin, director of operations for Severn Trent De Nora, “As a leader in providing effective solutions for marine and offshore waste treatment, biofouling control and seawater desalination, Severn Trent De Nora considers OTC to be a key international show. OTC provides a forum for us to showcase our innovative electrolytic disinfection treatment solutions that put a premium on operator safety and meet increasingly stringent IMO regulations for marine sewage discharge.”
