Series AS Automatic Mechanical Switchover Modules
The Series AS automatic mechanical switchover modules provide safe, reliable switching between two gas sources assuring an uninterrupted supply of chemical to the application. Five units provide automatic switchover capability with maximum ranges from 100PPD to 4,000PPD for Chlorine or Sulfur Dioxide and 50PPD to 2,000PPD for Ammonia.
The switchover module is piped between two vacuum regulators and the vacuum source. Each vacuum regulator is piped to an independent pressurized gas supply with the switchover module piped to both vacuum regulators and the vacuum source. Through the switchover module, one vacuum regulator is operational and the second is in standby mode. When the vacuum level rises, signifying a diminishing gas source, the switchover module switches operation to the stand-by vacuum regulator.
