The Omni-SORB™ filter system is designed for iron and manganese removal applications and for combined arsenic/iron/manganese removal where iron levels are high enough to affect arsenic removal. Systems use the Omni-SORB granular filter media, specifically designed to provide removal of soluble, reduced iron and manganese from well waters. Omni-SORB media is not a processed mineral; rather, it is an engineered product using refined manganese dioxide that has high catalytic activity for oxidation and adsorption of these metals.
Larger Omni-SORB iron and manganese removal systems are available with a maximum of 14 ft. or 4.27m diameter vessel. Smaller systems are available through the Omni-SORB IRS Series, a standard pre-engineered product line of iron and manganese removal systems designed in five different filter vessel sizes ranging from 1.1 m to 2.1 m or 3.5 to 7 ft diameter to treat 19-240 m³/hr or 85 -1,050 gpm.
